IT Director

Responsible for managing the design, development, release and maintenance of business application systems.  Works closely with customers, peers, and Senior Management to identify business system information requirements and user preferences.  Seeks out opportunities to leverage the value of systems applications based on new / emerging computing architecture to improve business processes and support critical business strategies. Requires: Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent work experience is required.  Master’s Degree is preferred. Experience: 3 years management / supervisory experience required. Experience managing network environments and associated security technologies. Knowledge of TCP/IP networking technology (UNIX, Windows, including multi-layered switching and routing). Knowledge of firewall and router systems. Analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills. Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel between locations.

Maintenance Manager

Form, fabricate and assemble components for experimental projects, repairs and modifications to machines, equipment and facilities to ensure reliable, consistent operation. Develop and maintain training plans and guides for team members. Provide effective leadership to maximize production while maintaining an engaged workforce. Actively participate as a member of the Food Safety and Plant Management Teams. Requires: 2 year degree required. Technical certification preferred. Experience exceeding 4 years may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience: 4 years minimum required. Ability to perform basic to complex machine setups. QA Supervisor

The primary role of the Quality & Food Safety Supervisor is to manage the Quality and Food Safety programs and technical staff.  Review the data generated during testing, assure samples are pulled and shipped as required by CJF procedure and customer requirements, test results are received and logged, and action taken when necessary.  The Supervisor works with the Quality Manager to ensure the laboratory is staffed and equipped to meet daily needs.  The Supervisor assists the Quality Manager in investigations, reporting, and auditing.  Requires: B.A. or B.S. degree in food science, chemistry, engineering, or related science strongly preferred but workforce experience in QA supervisory type roles may substitute for educational experience. Minimum of three years in human food manufacturing facility, preferred as well as pet food manufacturing and /or a minimum of three years of experience in Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, or related technical experience. Experience in supervising and training team members and personnel. Experience in leading quality systems at a manufacturing site, contractor or supplier. Ability to build and lead effective teams to solve problems, make decisions, and take action within the organization. Solid analytical skills. Production Training Supervisor

Develop and implement improved training programs/systems with emphasis on Safety, Equipment and Operating Systems. Manage and schedule daily plant production, packaging and shipping in an efficient manner providing high quality products to our customers. Ensure all equipment is maintained to ensure operating efficiency. Develop and maintain training plans and guides for team members.  Provide effective leadership to maximize production while maintaining a high degree of employee satisfaction. Requires: Education level: High school diploma and/or GED required. Prefer a minimum of an Associates Degree in training. Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required. Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Accounting Manager supervises all accounting personnel and is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.  Requires: Education: Four-year college degree in Accounting or related field required. Experience: Five years prior accounting experience required.  Preference will be given to those with applicable supervisory experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area. Working knowledge of all generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel computer programs required. Previous experience with computerized ERP (JDE) system preferred.  Proficiency with computerized accounting system required. Excellent computer skills required. Product Development Manager

Great new opportunity working in private brands division, the product development will oversee new products through conception and design to launch with a focus on meeting customer’s needs & creating products alongside an innovative team through our manufacturing facility. We are looking for self-starters that have experience in developing products, and want to be a part of building a great business as an integral part of a developing business. Understand and direct the product development process from approved concept through first production. Important duties of this position include developing products through assistance with choosing ingredients, vendors and suppliers for raw materials as well as coordinating with QA and Innovation teams to develop the product. Working with marketing and research teams to develop labels, graphics, branding and other product identifiers. Research ingredients and tweak formulas, methods and inputs to meet customer demands and improve products. Work to ensure regulatory compliance in manufacturing of the products. Carry out analysis of products, monitoring results, pal studies, etc., organizing and reporting information. Work closely with VP of Private Label Sales with various projects, taking lead role in managing projects. Requires: Bachelors in a Science related area preferred. Would substitute work experience especially in the above criteria over a formal education. 3 years of project management experience. 3 - 5 years of product development experience. Some level leadership in projects they have been involved with, including the area of budgetary management and driving projects. Business Analyst

This IT position is responsible for supporting the day to day manufacturing and business operations. Position outcomes are; analyzing and evaluating existing or proposed systems, producing requirements documents for various business development activities, training and supporting users, deploying new systems and enhancements.  Responsibilities of the job include ensuring data integrity, participating in data quality control, and system/process validation.  A cornerstone of this position includes working with business system users on how to efficiently utilize technology in supporting the business.  Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. Requires: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.  An AA degree in Management Information Systems /Accounting; equivalent work experience may be substituted. 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment using business systems ERP software. (Oracle JD Edwards is preferred). Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate technical data to employees outside of the IT department. Knowledge and application of computer programming techniques and principles of system analysis. Knowledge of programming tools, database tools, and analysis software.

Maintenance Technician

Supports the manufacturing facilities in all areas of the manufacturing process. Maintains the highest levels of productivity, efficiency, safety, quality, and sanitation. Form, fabricates and assembles components for experimental projects, and repairs and modifies existing machines/equipment/ facilities to ensure reliable, consistent operation according to directions, specifications and approval of supervision.

Positions available days (6am to 6pm). Requires: High school diploma/GED. One year experience in manufacturing environment preferred. Technical expertise, communication skills, and the ability to problem solve.

Food Safety Tech

Perform sanitation tasks from the Master Sanitation Checklist.  Tasks include cleaning inside equipment and at heights, and require use of chemicals, tools, and equipment requiring specific and specialized training.  Perform daily cleaning tasks as assigned by Food Safety Lead.  Keep the plan in a condition that maintains a standard approved by CJ Foods and manufacturing practices.  Inspect for, recognize, report, and correct conditions or presence of stored product pests, i.e. insects, rodents, and birds.  Safely operate forklift, skid loader, bucket lift, and scissor lift to accomplish sanitation tasks.  Shift:  Position available days (6am-6pm).  Requires:  High school diploma/GED.  Food Safety, sanitation and/or housekeeping experience preferred. Basic math skills. Willing to work in a team environment.  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  Ability to multi-task.

Packaging Operators

Direct all activities including set-up and operations on assigned packaging line.  Supervise those assigned to the packaging team. Capable of performing all duties outlined for Packaging Line Technicians.  Package product in bags, boxes, or bulk containers; label, and stack on pallets.  Maintain product and packaging quality through visually inspecting finished product. Ensures product, bags, wraps, seals, boxes, and pallets meet highest quality standards.  Immediately report all quality issues to the Production Supervisor.  Participates in full facility and equipment clean-up between product runs, as directed.  Responsible for machine set ups.  Assist with QA data collection and calibrations.  Ensure required paperwork is accurate and complete.  Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment.  Shift: Positions available nights (6pm - 6am).  Requires:  High School Diploma or GED. Experience in a manufacturing environment desired.  Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and percentages.  Ability to multi-task.

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, Willing ness to work in a team environment. Basic math skills.  Ability to multi –task.

In addition to climbing up and down vertical ladders, step ladders, and stairs to package and clean, constant walking and standing may also be required for the entire shift length. All production employees must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
