Production Shift Supervisors

Manage and schedule daily plant production, packaging and shipping in an efficient manner providing high quality products to our customers. Ensure all equipment is maintained to ensure operating efficiency. Develop and maintain training plans and guides for team members. Provide effective leadership to maximize production while maintaining a high degree of employee satisfaction. Manage daily, employee activities such as timekeeping, PTO, overtime, and employee attendance.  Requires: High school diploma and/or GED. Financial Controller

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing and administering the Company’s general accounting functions, including accounts payable,  financial reporting, general ledger, external audits, GAAP compliance, fixed assets, and covenant reporting. Exercise general administrative direction and control over the corporate accounting function to maintain and improve the company’s financial soundness; control cash flow and expenditures; and provide accurate accounting information and financial control data. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting.  MBA preferred. Experience: Ten years’ experience in progressively responsible finance areas.  Five year’s prior work experience in a manufacturing work environment, including supervisory experience, accounting, budget, and finance.  Prior experience with JDE/Oracle ERP system, or similar manufacturing business process system required. Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, inventory, payroll, income tax and banking working knowledge.  Technical skills in account reconciliation, cost analysis and month-end close responsibilities. QA Supervisor

The primary role of the Quality & Food Safety Supervisor is to manage the Quality and Food Safety programs and technical staff.  Review the data generated during testing, assure samples are pulled and shipped as required by CJF procedure and customer requirements, test results are received and logged, and action taken when necessary.  The Supervisor works with the Quality Manager to ensure the laboratory is staffed and equipped to meet daily needs.  The Supervisor assists the Quality Manager in investigations, reporting, and auditing. Requires: B.A. or B.S. degree in food science, chemistry, engineering, or related science strongly preferred but workforce experience in QA supervisory type roles may substitute for educational experience. Minimum of three years in human food manufacturing facility, preferred as well as pet food manufacturing and /or a minimum of three years of experience in Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, or related technical experience. Experience in supervising and training team members and personnel. Experience in leading quality systems at a manufacturing site, contractor or supplier. Ability to build and lead effective teams to solve problems, make decisions, and take action within the organization. Solid analytical skills. Business Analyst

This IT position is responsible for supporting the day to day manufacturing and business operations. Position outcomes are; analyzing and evaluating existing or proposed systems, producing requirements documents for various business development activities, training and supporting users, deploying new systems and enhancements.  Responsibilities of the job include ensuring data integrity, participating in data quality control, and system/process validation.  A cornerstone of this position includes working with business system users on how to efficiently utilize technology in supporting the business.  Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity. Requires: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.  An AA degree in Management Information Systems /Accounting; equivalent work experience may be substituted. 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment using business systems ERP software. (Oracle JD Edwards is preferred). Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate technical data to employees outside of the IT department. Knowledge and application of computer programming techniques and principles of system analysis. Knowledge of programming tools, database tools, and analysis software. Financial Planning & Analyst

The Financial Planning & Analyst is an integral part of the accounting and finance team responsible for financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and special projects as assigned. This candidate will work directly with senior management including the VP of Sales, VP of Operations, and CFO on various projects and will be responsible for communicating ideas and suggestions on cost saving and profit generating strategies. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance required. Three years of general accounting experience required and five years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Previous experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and financial statement (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement) preparation required. Previous experience with computerized ERP (JDE) system preferred.  Proficiency with computerized accounting system required. Excellent computer skills required. Ingredient Meat Tech

Responsible for the meat room set-up and operation. Responsible for operating the meat grinding system up to and including the metal detector, block breaker, emulsifier and mixer. Transfer 40 lb. blocks to a conveyor at waist height. Understand written instruction and basic math to calculate ingredient ratios based on production run. Safely operate forklift. Responsible for timely product changeover and equipment set-up. Help maintain a safe and clean work environment. Participate in full facility and equipment clean-up between product runs, as directed. Operate shag truck. Position available days (6am to 6pm) and nights (6pm – 6am). Requires:  High school diploma and/or GED. Maintenance Technician

Supports the manufacturing facilities in all areas of the manufacturing process. Maintains the highest levels of productivity, efficiency, safety, quality, and sanitation. Form, fabricates and assembles components for experimental projects, and repairs and modifies existing machines/equipment/ facilities to ensure reliable, consistent operation according to directions, specifications and approval of supervision. Package Techs

Assist with packaging line set-up and operation. Package dry and semi-moist products for shipping or specialty packaging. Maintain product and packaging quality through visually inspecting finished product.  Ensure product, bags, wraps, seals, boxes and pallets meet highest quality standards. Responsible for immediately reporting all quality issues to the Packaging Lead or Production Supervisor. Positions available days (6am–6pm) and nights (6pm-6am). Requires: High School Diploma/GED. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Willingness to work in a team environment. Packaging Operator

Direct all activities including set-up and operations on assigned packaging line. Supervise those assigned to the packaging team. Capable of performing all duties outlined for Packaging Line Technicians.  Package product in bags, boxes, or bulk containers; label, and stack on pallets. Maintain product and packaging quality through visually inspecting finished product. Ensures product, bags, wraps, seals, boxes, and pallets meet highest quality standards.  Immediately report all quality issues to the Production Supervisor. Participates in full facility and equipment clean-up between product runs, as directed.  Responsible for machine set ups. Assist with QA data collection and calibrations. Ensure required paperwork is accurate and complete. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment.  Position available days (6am – 6pm) and nights (6pm-6am).  Requires:  High School Diploma or GED. Experience in a manufacturing environment desired. Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and percentages. Food Safety Tech

Perform sanitation tasks from the Master Sanitation Checklist. Tasks include cleaning inside equipment and at heights, and require use of chemicals, tools, and equipment requiring specific and specialized training. Perform daily cleaning tasks as assigned by Food Safety Lead. Keep the plan in a condition that maintains a standard approved by CJ Foods and manufacturing practices. Inspect for, recognize, report, and correct conditions or presence of stored product pests, i.e. insects, rodents, and birds. Safely operate forklift, skid loader, bucket lift, and scissor lift to accomplish sanitation tasks. Positions available days (6am-6pm). Requires: High school diploma/GED. Food Safety, sanitation and/or housekeeping experience preferred. Basic math skills. Willing to work in a team environment. Warehouse Tech

Ticket and store finished goods in warehouse. Track production to accurately fulfill customer orders.  Scan all materials used during shift. Safely operate forklift accurately and efficiently. Receive finished product form manufacturing lines and ticket by entering into computerized inventory system.  Responsible for inspecting finished product for stack quality, count and lot code accuracy. Operate Stretch Wrapper, Palletizer, and other warehouse equipment. Responsible for becoming familiar with product ticketing and customer requirements for palletization. Know where to get the information and how to interpret it. Able to issue raw ingredients to manufacturing and packaging. Communicate with Packaging Operators on pallet counts to ensure orders are filled correctly. Maintain assigned equipment. Participate in full facility and equipment clean up between product runs, as directed. Positions available on day shift (6am to 6pm) and night shift (6pm to 6am). Requires: High School Diploma and/or GED. Experience in a manufacturing environment is desired. Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals. In addition to climbing up and down vertical ladders, step ladders, and stairs to package and clean, constant walking and standing may also be required for the entire shift length. All production employees must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
