Production Site Director

Reports to the VP of Operations.  Direct site manufacturing operations (quality, production, maintenance, safety and warehouse / shipping, safety, training) through a team of managers and supervisors. Take care of the people, partners, processes, & productivity.  Ensure increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the quality of products, safety of employees and efficiency of manpower, materials and machines.  Drive policies and programs which guide the organization.  A hands on professional who leads by example; sets expectations; instills quality and excellence on the manufacturing floor; measures performance to plan; drives results; inspires, motivates and mentors 100 + employees (multi-shifts).  Minimum education requirement: BA / BS in science, engineering or business administration.  Experience may be substituted on a year for year basis after two year technical degree.  Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in manufacturing supervision and management, preferably in the food industry.  Ability to inspire, leave, motivate, and show appreciation to team members in working collectively & collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to company goals.  Demonstrated personnel leadership with solid management skills.  Ability to oversee and lead a large cross-functional team is a must.  Excellent communication skills.  Experience in managing schedules and budget.  Experience working in a GMP environment, establishing best practices and operation procedures.

Quality Assurance Manager

Manage continuous improvement of plant floor quality systems; training and standardization of quality policies and procedures; food safety compliance; quality analytical testing; and communication.  Lead the Quality and Food Safety Team’s development using plant principles.  Develop training.  Administer GMP.  Analyze customer complaints.  Administer HACCP system.  Manage micro-biological, environment, and finish product verification programs.  Administer Quality & Food safety programs.  Coordinate execution and follow-up of regulatory internal and external audits (FDA, USDA, State, AIB, Corporate, etc.). Lead, inspire and motivate a team of quality professionals.  Minimum education requirement: Food Science or similar degree required, with 5 years’ experience in food related field, preferred.   Plant Quality experience preferred. Experience in quality and regulatory may be substituted for education when supported by formalized training.  SQF practitioner and HACCP certification, or must retain within 12 months of hire date.  Supervisory experience required.

Quality & Food Safety Supervisor

Reports to the Quality Assurance Manager.  Manage the Quality and Food Safety Technicians’ work; the data generated during testing, assuring samples are pulled and shipped as required by C.J. Foods, Inc. procedure and customer requirements, test results are received and logged, and action taken when necessary.  The Supervisor works with the Quality Manager to lead, inspire and motivate a team of quality professionals and to ensure the Laboratory is staffed and equipped to meet daily needs.  The Supervisor assists the Quality Manager in investigations, reporting, and auditing.  Scheduled to work 12 hour days on shift oversee.  Minimum education requirement:  BA/BS in chemistry, engineering, or related science.  Relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of education. A minimum of 3 years’ experience in food manufacturing facility and in Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, or related technical experience preferred.  A minimum two years’ experience in supervising, training, hiring, and developing of personnel and leading Quality Systems at a manufacturing site, contractor, or supplier.  Ability to build and lead effective teams to solve problems, make decisions, and take action within the organization.  Solid analytical skills.  Advanced technical knowledge, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Position: Package Line Lead
Description: Direct all activities and oversee set up and operations on assigned packaging line. Supervise those assigned to the packaging team. Capable of performing all duties outlined for Packaging Line Technicians including packaging product, maintain product and packaging quality through visual inspection, ensure packaging and product meet highest quality standards, report all quality issues to the Production Supervisor, and participate in full facility and equipment clean up between product runs,. Assist Packaging Operators in machine set ups, assist in planning packaging sequence for maximum efficiency, QA data collection and calibrations, ensure required paperwork is accurate and complete, anticipate technical problems and proactively troubleshoot/make technical adjustments, notify maintenance. Assist with training of Packaging Line Technicians. Position available nights (6pm-6am).

Position: Ingredient Meat Tech
Description:

Responsible for the meat room set-up and operation.  Responsible for operating the meat grinding system up to and including the metal detector, block breaker, emulsifier and mixer.  Transfer 40 lb. blocks to a conveyor at waist height.  Understand written instruction and basic math to calculate ingredient ratios based on production run.  Safely operate forklift.  Responsible for timely product changeover and equipment set-up.  Help maintain a safe and clean work environment.  Participate in full facility and equipment clean-up between product runs, as directed.  Operate shag truck.  Position is nights (6pm-6am).

Position: Warehouse Tech (lower warehouse)
Description: Ticket and store finished goods in warehouse.  Track production to accurately fulfill customer orders.  Scan all materials used during shift.  Safely operate forklift accurately and efficiently.  Receive finished product form manufacturing lines and ticket by entering into computerized inventory system.  Responsible for inspecting finished product for stack quality, count and lot code accuracy.  Operate Stretch Wrapper, Palletizer, and other warehouse equipment.  Responsible for becoming familiar with product ticketing and customer requirements for palletization.  Know where to get the information and how to interpret it.  Able to issue raw ingredients to manufacturing and packaging.  Communicate with Packaging Operators on pallet counts to ensure orders are filled correctly.  Maintain assigned equipment.  Participate in full facility and equipment clean up between product runs, as directed.  Positions available days (6am-6pm) and nights (6pm-6am).

Description: Supports the manufacturing facilities in all areas of the manufacturing process. Maintains the highest levels of productivity, efficiency, safety, quality, and sanitation. Form, fabricates and assembles components for experimental projects, and repairs and modifies existing machines/equipment/ facilities to ensure reliable, consistent operation according to directions, specifications and approval of supervision.

Description: Assist with packaging line set-up and operation.  Package dry and semi-moist products for shipping or specialty packaging.  Maintain product and packaging quality through visually inspecting finished product.  Ensure product, bags, wraps, seals, boxes and pallets meet highest quality standards.  Responsible for immediately reporting all quality issues to the Production Supervisor.  Positions are available days (6am-6pm) and nights (6pm-6am).

Position: Food Safety Tech
Description:    Perform sanitation tasks from the Master Sanitation Checklist.  These tasks include cleaning inside equipment and at heights, and require use of chemicals, tools and equipment requiring specific and specialized training.   Perform daily cleaning tasks as assigned by sanitation crew supervisor.  Keep the plant in a condition that maintains a standard approved by the American Institute of Baking (AIB) and all other regulatory inspectors by performing the following duties.  This position’s work schedule every week will include assigned days during the week and a plant down-day (weekend day) mandatory working as a complete Food Safety crew.  Position is available days (6am-6pm).

**All positions at C.J. Foods, Inc. require employees to work in areas where they may be exposed to temperatures ranging from 50 to 100 degrees, depending on the season and workstation. In addition to climbing up and down vertical ladders, step ladders, and stairs to package and clean, constant walking and standing may also be required for the entire shift length. All production employees must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
