Production Supervisor

Manage and schedule daily plant production, packaging and shipping in an efficient manner providing high quality products to our customers. Ensure all equipment is maintained to ensure operating efficiency. Develop and maintain training plans and guides for team members.  Provide effective leadership to maximize production while maintaining a high degree of employee satisfaction. Manage daily, employee activities such as timekeeping, PTO, overtime, and employee attendance.  Requires: High school diploma and/or GED.  Supervisory experience required, preferably in a manufacturing setting.   Day shift 6a-6p and Night shift 6p-6a.

Purchasing Agent

Work with inventory control processes, procedures, and production planning for accurate recording of all relevant transactions using the Material Requirements Planning system to keep business running effectively.  Candidate must have the ability to use sound judgment and discretion in making important purchasing decisions, including production planning, inventory control, and purchasing functions.
Education level: Minimum high school diploma required; Associates degree in Business or equivalent experience preferred.  Experience in inventory control, purchasing, supply chain management or production planning fields.  C.J. Foods experience preferred.  Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required.  May substitute experience at C.J. Foods on a year for year basis.

Position: Inventory Clerk
Description: Position is responsible for all cycle counts, assisting Operations with inventory and customer inventory reporting. Audit inventory in plant locations, answering questions. Complete Inventory Adjustments, & adjust to sales orders in, etc. in MRP environment. Generate, approve & log Cycle counts monthly. Lead year-end physical inventory and special inventories throughout the year. Generate customer reports & complete customer packaging shrinks on a monthly, quarterly, & yearly basis, per customer request. Position currently is a Monday thru Friday, 8a-5p. Hours may change to twelve hour shifts, assigned to a day team, for business needs after filled & training is complete.

Requires: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Two-year college degree in related field preferred. May substitute experience. Desire two-years’ experience in an accounting function. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially with Excel. Strong customer service skills are required.

Position: Extruder Operator
Description:      Ensure quality products are produced through the proper operation of extrusion (and related) equipment. Set-up equipment and produce products using run sheets and written formulas. Helps assemble, calibrate, operate, and monitor extruder and all auxiliary equipment. Inspects and evaluates equipment hourly; adjusts equipment variables to meet equipment and product requirements. Frequently dumps/weighs, carries, and stacks up to 50 lb. bags of ingredients and/or product. Operates forklift and hand-held scanners to remove ingredients from inventory for use in production. Establishes and maintains an effective line of communication with quality assurance department. Monitors and manages shrink losses to acceptable limits/standards. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work area and environment.

Position: Meat Room Operator
Description: Responsible for the meat room set-up and operation. Responsible for operating the meat grinding system up to and including the metal detector, block breaker, emulsifier and mixer. Transfer 40 lb. blocks to a conveyor at waist height. Understand written instruction and basic math to calculate ingredient ratios based on production run. Safely operate forklift. Responsible for timely product changeover and equipment set-up. Help maintain a safe and clean work environment. Participate in full facility and equipment clean-up between product runs, as directed. Operate shag truck.

Position:  Maintenance Technician
Description:    Supports the manufacturing facilities in all areas of the manufacturing process. Maintains the highest levels of productivity, efficiency, safety, quality, and sanitation. Form, fabricates and assembles components for experimental projects, and repairs and modifies existing machines/equipment/ facilities to ensure reliable, consistent operation according to directions, specifications and approval of supervision.

Position: Package Line Lead
Description: Direct all activities and oversee set up and operations on assigned packaging line. Supervise those assigned to the packaging team. Capable of performing all duties outlined for Packaging Line Technicians including packaging product, maintain product and packaging quality through visual inspection, ensure packaging and product meet highest quality standards, report all quality issues to the Production Supervisor, and participate in full facility and equipment clean up between product runs,. Assist Packaging Operators in machine set ups, assist in planning packaging sequence for maximum efficiency, QA data collection and calibrations, ensure required paperwork is accurate and complete, anticipate technical problems and proactively troubleshoot/make technical adjustments, notify maintenance. Assist with training of Packaging Line Technicians.

Position: Palletizer Operator
Description: Maintain and operate palletizing equipment. Assist with all packaging activities associated with palletizing of finished product. Capable of completing all duties associated with the palletizing and storing of finished product bags/cases. Maintain an awareness of product and packaging quality, visually inspecting product, bags, wraps, seals, boxes and pallets with a high degree of accuracy. Report all quality issues to the Production Supervisor. Set up and operate palletizing equipment. Troubleshoot equipment problems and work with Maintenance for resolution. Understand pallet patterns and be able to stack bags and boxes, weighing up to 50 lbs, to specified pattern.

Position: Package Tech
Description:      Assist with packaging line set-up and operation.  Package dry and semi-moist products for shipping or specialty packaging.  Maintain product and packaging quality through visually inspecting finished product.  Ensure product, bags, wraps, seals, boxes and pallets meet highest quality standards.  Responsible for immediately reporting all quality issues to the Production Supervisor.

Position: Lower Warehouse
Description: Ticket and store finished goods in warehouse. Track production to accurately fulfill customer orders. Scan all materials used during shift. Safely operate forklift (Must be able to obtain C.J. Foods certification) accurately and efficiently. Operate Stretch Wrapper, Palletizer and other warehouse equipment. Responsible for becoming familiar with product ticketing and customer requirements for palletization. Operate computerized inventory system to run necessary reports (production, non-scan, location, receipts, etc.) and enter tickets into the receiving screen.

Position: QA Tech
Description: The Level I QA Technician position is intended to be a “starting” point, from which the technician is expected to advance to capability on both sides of the process before the two year “target”.   The Level I Technician should be capable of the required sampling and testing on either the processing or packaging side of the process with some assistance from the other QA technicians or Leads.  The Level I Technician should have a good working knowledge of Food Safety and Quality policies.

**All positions at C.J. Foods, Inc. require employees to work in areas where they may be exposed to temperatures ranging from 50 to 100 degrees, depending on the season and workstation. In addition to climbing up and down vertical ladders, step ladders, and stairs to package and clean, constant walking and standing may also be required for the entire shift length. All production employees must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
