Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst is an integral part of the accounting and finance team responsible for financial reporting and analysis, assisting Controller with monthly, quarterly, and annual close, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and special projects as assigned. This candidate will work directly with senior management including the VP of Sales, VP of Operations, and CFO on various projects and will be responsible for communicating ideas and suggestions on cost saving and profit generating strategies. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance required. Three years of general accounting experience required and five years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Previous experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and financial statement (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement) preparation required. Previous experience with computerized ERP (JDE) system preferred.  Proficiency with computerized accounting system required. Excellent computer skills required. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel computer programs.  Proficient in all accounting areas, specifically budgeting, cost accounting, and general ledger. Working knowledge of all generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Sr. Cost Accountant

Sr. Cost Accountant Position specifically responsible for maintenance of standard cost system, manufacturing accounting and analysis, variance reporting, and accurate bill of materials (BOM)/assemblies in a completely integrated MRP environment. Monitor, record, and analyze margins, cost of sales, and inventory activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting of related financial information. Maintain accurate cost accounting system. Audit responsibility for proper setup of new product SKUS and ingredients into accounting inventory system. Primary responsibility for setting up test run and newly commissioned SKUS on the accounting and inventory systems. Daily manufacturing responsibilities including processing closed work orders and sending out daily operation report to operations. Analyze and report on all ingredient costs, quantity adjustments & manufacturing variances by SKU, customer and profit center. Audit inventory and inventory processes in all locations. Financial Analysis: Assist in the development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to determine operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization. Monitor, record, and analyze margins, cost of sales, and inventory trends to ensure timely and accurate reporting of related financial information and make recommendations for strategic direction at the plant and corporate level. Analyze plant cost and pricing structures and make recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.  Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly. Qualification Requirements: Minimum of three to five years prior accounting or cost accounting experience; preference will be given to those with applicable experience in cost accounting or manufacturing accounting background. Previous experience with computerized ERP (JDE) system preferred. Advanced, proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytic problem solving and math skills required; display a good understanding of probability and statistics. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality and accuracy. Must be able to present numerical data effectively and be able to read and interpret written complex financial information. Excellent Written and Oral Communication skills required. Demonstrated planning/organizing skills required. Ability to multi-task in a time-sensitive, fast-paced environment.

Production Shift Supervisor

Manage and schedule daily plant production, packaging and shipping in an efficient manner providing high quality products to our customers. Ensure all equipment is maintained to ensure operating efficiency. Develop and maintain training plans and guides for team members.  Provide effective leadership to maximize production while maintaining a high degree of employee satisfaction. Manage daily, employee activities such as timekeeping, PTO, overtime, and employee attendance.  Requires: High school diploma and/or GED.  Supervisory experience required, preferably in a manufacturing setting.  Day shift (6am to 6pm); Night shift (6pm-6am).

Warehouse Tech – Multiple Positions

Ticket and store finished goods in warehouse.  Track production to accurately fulfill customer orders.  Scan all materials used during shift.  Safely operate forklift accurately and efficiently.  Receive finished product form manufacturing lines and ticket by entering into computerized inventory system.  Responsible for inspecting finished product for stack quality, count and lot code accuracy.  Operate Stretch Wrapper, Palletizer, and other warehouse equipment.  Responsible for becoming familiar with product ticketing and customer requirements for palletization.  Know where to get the information and how to interpret it.  Able to issue raw ingredients to manufacturing and packaging.  Communicate with Packaging Operators on pallet counts to ensure orders are filled correctly.  Maintain assigned equipment.  Participate in full facility and equipment clean up between product runs, as directed.  Shift: Positions available on day shift (6am to 6pm).  Requires:  High School Diploma and/or GED.  Experience in a manufacturing environment is desired.  Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.  Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form.  Basic math skills including addition and subtraction.  Ability to multi task.

Inventory/Receiving Specialist

Establish and operate warehouse operation in support of manufacturing activities.  Organize, implement, and execute proper warehouse sanitation and inventory SOP’s to facilitate 24 hour support of manufacturing.  Unload and process items received into the facility in an accurate and timely manner.  Prepare accurate, timely documentation and transactions that follow established protocols for receipt, inspection, inventory control, issuance and consumption in support of manufacturing.  Support all manufacturing activities as requested including transport of material, WIP and FG product between C.J. Foods locations.  Responsible for all aspects of inventory control.  Safely operate a forklift with accuracy and efficiency.  Operate hand-held scanner and computerized inventory system for advanced inventory transactions.  Properly dispose of items as directed. Shift: Position available days (6am to 6pm).  Requires:  High school diploma/GED.  Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.  Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.  Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.  Basic math skills to include addition and subtraction.  Ability to multi-task.

Packaging Line Lead

Direct all activities and oversee set up and operations on assigned packaging line.  Supervise those assigned to the packaging team.  Capable of performing all duties outlined for Packaging Line Techs.  Package product in bags, boxes, or bulk containers, label, and stack pallets.  Maintain product and packaging quality through visually inspecting finished product.  Ensure product, bags, wraps, seals, boxes, and pallets meet highest quality standards.  Immediately report all quality issues to the Production Supervisor.  Participates in full facility and equipment clean up between product runs.  Assist Packaging Operators in machine set ups. Assist in planning packaging sequence for maximum efficiency.  Responsible for QA Data collection and calibrations.  Anticipate technical problems and proactively troubleshoot and make adjustments.  Work with maintenance and supervisor to identify potential line improvements.  Knowledge and proficiency in business systems as it relates to the position. Shift: Positions available on day shift (6AM - 6PM) and night shift (6PM – 6 AM).  Requires:  High school diploma/GED.  Experience in a manufacturing environment desired.  Experience in leading team preferred.  Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals. Packaging Operator - Multiple Positions

Experience in a manufacturing environment desired.  Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and percentages.  Ability to multi-task.

Package Tech – Multiple Positions

Assist with packaging line set-up and operation.  Package dry and semi-moist products for shipping or specialty packaging.  Maintain product and packaging quality through visually inspecting finished product.  Ensure product, bags, wraps, seals, boxes and pallets meet highest quality standards.  Responsible for immediately reporting all quality issues to the Packaging Lead or Production Supervisor.  Shift: Positions available days (6am - 6pm) and nights (6pm-6am).  Requires:  High School Diploma/GED.  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, Willing ness to work in a team environment. Basic math skills.  Ability to multi –task.

Ingredient Meat Tech

Responsible for the meat room set-up and operation.  Responsible for operating the meat grinding system up to and including the metal detector, block breaker, emulsifier and mixer.  Transfer 40 lb. blocks to a conveyor at waist height.  Understand written instruction and basic math to calculate ingredient ratios based on production run.  Safely operate forklift.  Responsible for timely product changeover and equipment set-up. Help maintain a safe and clean work environment.  Participate in full facility and equipment clean-up between product runs, as directed.  Operate shag truck.  Shift: Position available day shift (6am-6pm).  Requires:  High school diploma and/or GED.  Experience in a manufacturing environment desired.  Willing to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.  Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and percentages.  Ability to multi-task.  Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a continual basis.

Quality Assurance Tech

A Level I QA Technician position is intended to be a “starting” point, from which the technician is expected to advance to capability on both sides of the process before the two year “target”.   The Level I Technician should be capable of the required sampling and testing on either the processing or packaging side of the process with some assistance from the other QA technicians or Leads.  The Level I Technician should have a good working knowledge of Food Safety and Quality policies. A Level II QA Technician understands and is capable of the required sampling and testing on both the extrusion and packaging side of the process with minimal assistance from the other QA Technician or the QA Lead. A Level III QA Technician understands and is proficient at all the various sampling and testing to the level of being a trainer for employees new to the job on both the extrusion and packaging side. The Level III Technician also assists with maintaining the laboratory equipment, verifying and documenting calibrations. QA Technician levels of II and up are also expected to not only know but also promote Quality and Food Safety policies and procedures to other departments on the plant floor.

Job level will DOE. Shift: Position available nights (6pm-6am). Requires: High School Diploma/GED. Willingness to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.  Excellent communication skills.  Basic math skills.  Ability to multi-task.

Food Safety Tech

Perform sanitation tasks from the Master Sanitation Checklist.  Tasks include cleaning inside equipment and at heights, and require use of chemicals, tools, and equipment requiring specific and specialized training.  Perform daily cleaning tasks as assigned by Food Safety Lead.  Keep the plan in a condition that maintains a standard approved by CJ Foods and manufacturing practices.  Inspect for, recognize, report, and correct conditions or presence of stored product pests, i.e. insects, rodents, and birds.  Safely operate forklift, skid loader, bucket lift, and scissor lift to accomplish sanitation tasks.  Shift:  Position available days (6am-6pm).  Requires:  High school diploma/GED.  Food Safety, sanitation and/or housekeeping experience preferred. Basic math skills. Willing to work in a team environment.  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.  Ability to multi-task.

**All positions at C.J. Foods, Inc. require employees to work in areas where they may be exposed to temperatures ranging from 50 to 100 degrees, depending on the season and workstation. In addition to climbing up and down vertical ladders, step ladders, and stairs to package and clean, constant walking and standing may also be required for the entire shift length. All production employees must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
