Quality Assurance Manager

Continuous improvement of plant floor quality systems; training and standardization of quality policies and procedures; food safety compliance; quality analytical testing; and communication.  Lead the Quality and Food Safety Team’s development using plant principles.  Develop training.  Administer GMP.  Analyze customer complaints.  Administer HACCP system.  Manage micro-biological, environment, and finish product verification programs.  Administer Quality & Food safety programs.  Coordinate execution and follow-up of regulatory internal and external audits (FDA, USDA, State, AIB, Corporate, etc). Minimum education requirement – Food Science or similar degree, with 5 years’ experience in food related field, preferred.   Plant Quality experience preferred. Experience in quality and regulatory may be substituted for education when supported by formalized training.  Supervisory experience required.

Production Supervisor

Manage and schedule daily plant production, packaging and shipping in an efficient manner providing high quality products to our customers. Ensure all equipment is maintained to ensure operating efficiency. Develop and maintain training plans and guides for team members.  Provide effective leadership to maximize production while maintaining a high degree of employee satisfaction. Manage daily, employee activities such as timekeeping, PTO, overtime, and employee attendance.  Requires: High school diploma and/or GED.  Supervisory experience required, preferably in a manufacturing setting.   Day shift 6a-6p and Night shift 6p-6a.

Document Control & Quality Systems Administrator

Administer Quality Systems at all plants.  Analyze and identify quality gaps, develop and implement reporting processes to track quality improvements and ensure programs are GFSI compliant at the corporate and plant levels.  Develop processes to store, manage, and track company documents for easy retrieval and version control.  Ensure all company policies, procedures, SOPs, and documents used to track operations and quality manufacture are adequate, controlled and unified amongst all plants.  Develop, implement, and track Quality Systems’ audits.  Develop and implement changes as needed, by referencing internal and external audits, tracking CIA issues, and evaluating issues.  IQS systems champion for Quality Department.  Collaborate with the Quality Team for ideas and suggestions for improvement and change, and work with IT to implement new programs and or improve existing programs, to best utilize IQS capabilities.  All IQS improvements will be funneled through this position for continuity.

 Requires a two-year Associate’s degree.  B.S. or B.A. in computer systems and/or scientific discipline or equivalent preferred  Quality Control or Quality Assurance with manufacturing quality systems experience required.  Experience working with databases, IQS, Business systems software, and experience with ISO 9001 or similar systems preferred.

Position: Warehouse Tech (Lower Warehouse)
Description:

Ticket and store finished goods in warehouse. Track production to accurately fulfill customer orders. Scan all materials used during shift. Safely operate forklift accurately and efficiently. Receive finished product form manufacturing lines and ticket by entering into computerized inventory system. Responsible for inspecting finished product for stack quality, count and lot code accuracy. Operate Stretch Wrapper, Palletizer, and other warehouse equipment. Responsible for becoming familiar with product ticketing and customer requirements for palletization. Know where to get the information and how to interpret it. Able to issue raw ingredients to manufacturing and packaging. Communicate with Packaging Operators on pallet counts to ensure orders are filled correctly. Maintain assigned equipment. Participate in full facility and equipment clean up between product runs, as directed..

Position: Warehouse Tech (Upper Warehouse)
Description:

Provide packaging lines with material needed to operate. Transport finished goods from packaging lines to stretch wrap conveyor. Safely operate forklift accurately and efficiently. Receive and weigh WIP from manufacturing. Inspect finished product for stack quality and count. Assist with operating Stretch Wrapper, Palletizer and other warehouse equipment. Operate hand-held scanner and computerized inventory system to check production and location report for materials. Able to issue raw ingredients to manufacturing and packaging. Responsible for cleaning areas from the palletizer to the lower warehouse. Participate in full facility and equipment clean up between product runs, as directed.

Position: Inventory Clerk
Description: Position is responsible for all cycle counts, assisting Operations with inventory and customer inventory reporting. Audit inventory in plant locations, answering questions. Complete Inventory Adjustments, & adjust to sales orders in, etc. in MRP environment. Generate, approve & log Cycle counts monthly. Lead year-end physical inventory and special inventories throughout the year. Generate customer reports & complete customer packaging shrinks on a monthly, quarterly, & yearly basis, per customer request. Position currently is a Monday thru Friday, 8a-5p. Hours may change to twelve hour shifts, assigned to a day team, for business needs after filled & training is complete.

Position:  Maintenance Technician
Description: Supports the manufacturing facilities in all areas of the manufacturing process. Maintains the highest levels of productivity, efficiency, safety, quality, and sanitation. Form, fabricates and assembles components for experimental projects, and repairs and modifies existing machines/equipment/ facilities to ensure reliable, consistent operation according to directions, specifications and approval of supervision.

Position: Food Safety Tech
Description:    Perform sanitation tasks from the Master Sanitation Checklist. These tasks include cleaning inside equipment and at heights, and require use of chemicals, tools and equipment requiring specific and specialized training.   Perform daily cleaning tasks as assigned by sanitation crew supervisor.  Keep the plant in a condition that maintains a standard approved by the American Institute of Baking (AIB) and all other regulatory inspectors by performing the following duties.  This position’s work schedule every week will include assigned days during the week and a plant down-day (weekend day) mandatory working as a complete Food Safety crew.

Position: Package Tech
Description:    Assist with packaging line set-up and operation. Package dry and semi-moist products for shipping or specialty packaging. Maintain product and packaging quality through visually inspecting finished product. Ensure product, bags, wraps, seals, boxes and pallets meet highest quality standards. Responsible for immediately reporting all quality issues to the Production Supervisor.

**All positions at C.J. Foods, Inc. require employees to work in areas where they may be exposed to temperatures ranging from 50 to 100 degrees, depending on the season and workstation. In addition to climbing up and down vertical ladders, step ladders, and stairs to package and clean, constant walking and standing may also be required for the entire shift length. All production employees must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
